I think a 3 star is reasonable. Can come for quick single visits or with groups. Good for organizing events here. Staffs are good in handling stuffs when large groups visit. The food is OK can be made better. The service takes long during busy hours.

Great spot for drink and food specials, there's always a $4 pint and the happy hour is awesome. Good service, bit of a hole in the wall. Only gripe is the lack of hot drinks. Best value for money on this side of town.

As I've gotten older, noisy bars are a bit of an issue for me. Especially, if I'm gonna to catch up with a friend. I get tired quickly of yelling and repeating myself. Elwoods is nothing special in this regard. Noise levels were pretty standard. We decided to sit outside in the enclosed patio. It was cold outside, but they had heaters and blankets. I only ordered beer that was on special for $4. My friend had food. They didn't complain so I assume it was good. We went here cause we used to come here a lot in our university years. Now it's a little out of the way. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out.
